Armed Forces Foil Houthi Militia Incursion in Al-Jawf

On Tuesday, the armed forces successfully thwarted an incursion attempt by the Houthi militia in the Qanaw front, located east of Bir al-Maraziq in Al-Jawf Governorate. A military source from the 101st Infantry Brigade, part of the Sixth Military Region, reported that army units detected the militia’s movements near their positions.
Intense Clashes Erupt
In response to the detected movements, the army engaged the militia with a range of medium and light weapons. This decisive action led to fierce clashes that lasted for several hours. The confrontations resulted in the deaths of four enemy combatants and injuries to five others. Additionally, the armed forces successfully destroyed a military vehicle belonging to the militia.
Ongoing Threats and Preparedness
The military source highlighted that the eastern fronts of Al-Jawf experience intermittent clashes due to repeated assaults by the Iran-backed Houthi militia. He emphasized that the armed forces remain fully prepared to counter any threats that may arise.
The recent engagement underscores the ongoing conflict in the region and the commitment of the armed forces to protect their territory. As tensions persist, the military’s readiness serves as a crucial deterrent against further incursions by the Houthi militia.
