The tribes of Al-Himaytin, Bani Matar, and Haraz in Sana’a Governorate declared a national call to arms during a tribal gathering today. This mobilization aims to support the armed forces, popular resistance, and security agencies in the comprehensive national battle “Dawn of Yemen.” This initiative follows the announcement made by His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to restore state institutions and liberate areas under the control of the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.
In response to the call for general mobilization, a statement issued during the armed tribal gathering, which the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received a copy of, emphasized the commitment of the people of Al-Himaytin, Bani Matar, and Haraz to stand alongside the state and its institutions. The statement urged Yemeni tribes in liberated governorates to announce their national call to arms and mobilize resources, including financial support, manpower, and weapons, to strengthen the national alignment behind the political leadership represented by the Presidential Leadership Council.
The statement also cautioned individuals in areas controlled by the Houthi militia to protect their families and lives. It advised them not to be deceived by the slogans of recruitment campaigns executed by the militia, which seeks to involve recruits in its futile battles that serve Iranian agendas in the region and harm Yemeni interests.
The “Dawn of Yemen” campaign aims to restore state institutions, pay salaries, and reinstate public services for citizens. It seeks to protect their rights and dignity while fostering peace in Yemen. The statement encouraged those misled to take advantage of the general amnesty decision and return safely to the republic and state, urging them to quickly disarm and abandon the fight alongside the Houthi militia to safeguard their lives and ensure their rights to equal citizenship and the retroactive payment of suspended salaries.
The statement condemned the attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It highlighted the targeting of civilian and economic sites, as well as Islamic sanctities in Mecca and Medina, using ballistic missiles and Iranian drones. The statement expressed the tribes’ appreciation for the positions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in support of the Yemeni people and their legitimate leadership. It acknowledged their assistance in the battle to restore state institutions and the republican system, asserting the sovereignty of the state over all national territory and promoting security and peace throughout the homeland.
The statement underscored the necessity of ending the Houthi militia’s project, which serves the Iranian expansionist agenda in Yemen and the region. This project poses a threat to regional security and stability, as well as to international navigation in Bab al-Mandab and the Red Sea.
