On Sunday, two civilians, including a child, sustained injuries from artillery fire launched by Houthi militia in the residential neighborhood of Al-Khadra, near Muhammad Ali Othman School in Taiz city.
According to the Taiz police, the shelling damaged the home of 55-year-old Fouad Ahmed. His 16-year-old daughter, Abrar, a high school student, suffered injuries, along with 12-year-old Ahmed, who received shrapnel wounds across his body.
Authorities confirmed that they have officially registered the incident and initiated investigations. The injured individuals received immediate medical attention at the military hospital for necessary treatment.
Security officials have classified this attack as a crime against humanity, highlighting the ongoing violations committed by the militia against civilians.
This incident underscores the urgent need for international attention to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, as civilian lives continue to be endangered amid the conflict.
