According to a recent report from the Epidemiological Surveillance Office of the Ministry of Public Health and Population in Taiz, the total number of reported cases from January 1 to September 30 stands at 9,309. Among these cases, 45 resulted in fatalities. The breakdown of infections includes:

• Cholera: 5,842 cases, including 37 deaths.
• Dengue Fever: 2,237 cases, with no reported deaths.
• Measles: 1,230 cases, resulting in 8 fatalities.

These figures underscore the urgent need for effective public health interventions.

The widespread outbreak of these diseases in Taiz can be attributed to the collapse of the healthcare system and the ongoing blockade imposed by Houthi militias on the city for the past nine years.
