Today, the bodies of two soldiers, Abdul Nasser Kamel Qaid and Youssef Adel Ismail, were laid to rest in Taiz. Both soldiers served in the 170th Air Defense Brigade and lost their lives while fulfilling their national duty on the Al-Kalabah front, northeast of the city, during clashes with Houthi militia forces.
During the funeral, Dr. Abdul Qawi Al-Makhlafi, the Deputy Governor of Taiz, praised the sacrifices and bravery of the fallen soldiers. He emphasized that their departure represents a significant loss for the national army and the community.
In a show of solidarity, Brigadier General Abdullah Hamoud Al-Qaisi, commander of the 170th Air Defense Brigade, reaffirmed the commitment of his troops to protect the province from militia attacks. He extended condolences to the families and comrades of the fallen soldiers, stressing that their sacrifices would continue to inspire the fight for liberation and stability.
This solemn event highlights the ongoing struggle in Taiz and the dedication of its defenders. The community mourns the loss of its heroes while remaining resolute in the face of adversity.
