The armed forces, supported by popular resistance and air force operations, inflicted significant losses on the Iranian-backed Houthi militias today in several fronts across Taiz Governorate.
Approximately 100 Houthi fighters lost their lives, while dozens sustained injuries, and others were captured. Additionally, military vehicles were damaged, and weapon depots belonging to the Houthi militias were destroyed.
This development followed the armed forces’ successful efforts to repel Houthi assaults on various fronts in Taiz. The air force targeted military reinforcements for the militias on Sixty Street, north of Taiz city, and military equipment at Al-Farouq School in the Bani Omar area, south of Taiz.
A military source reported that the armed forces engaged in fierce confrontations with Houthi militias across several fronts in Taiz. The clashes primarily occurred in Bani Bakari in the Jabal Habashi district, Hamir in the Maqbana district, and the Al-Aqroud front in the southeastern part of the governorate. Fighting also extended to the Al-Kadha and Jabal Han fronts, as well as the northern and eastern fronts of Taiz city. The source confirmed that the armed forces forced the Houthi militias to retreat and flee.
In the Samah front, southeast of Taiz, the armed forces, backed by popular resistance, successfully repelled a Houthi attack and strengthened their positions. The militias retreated towards Dhamna Khadir.
Military sources confirmed that during the confrontations in the Samah front, the armed forces inflicted substantial losses on the Houthi militias, capturing around 20 Houthi fighters and seizing two armored vehicles and a military pickup belonging to the militias.
The Al-Aqroud front in the Al-Masrak district, south of Taiz, witnessed intense armed clashes between the armed forces and Houthi militias. These confrontations resulted in the deaths of approximately 30 Houthi fighters and injuries to around 50 others due to fire from the armed forces.
