Celebrating Yemen’s Revolutionary Spirit: Poetry Event Kicks Off National Commemorations
On Monday, Major General Abdul Aziz Al-Majidi, the Chief of Staff for the Taiz Axis, inaugurated the celebrations for Yemen’s revolutionary holidays. The event featured a morning poetry session organized by the Morale Guidance Department, themed “Poetry in the Procession of Revolution.” This gathering honored the significant dates of September 26, October 14, and November 30.
The Importance of National Commemorations
Major General Al-Majidi emphasized the vital role of commemorating national occasions. He praised poetry for its ability to inspire national pride and support for revolutionaries. The poets at the event expressed themes of revolution, highlighting Taiz’s historical struggle and the bravery of the national army in their fight against the Houthi militia.

The event featured ten poets from the national army and popular resistance, who delivered patriotic verses that captured the essence of the revolution. Their performances reflected the spirit of liberation from both imamate rule and colonialism, resonating deeply with the audience.
