Yemen’s Strong Condemnation of Israeli Aggression

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), President Alimi reiterated Yemen’s condemnation of the Israeli attacks. He described these actions as a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and a gross breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.

Solidarity with Qatar

President Alimi expressed Yemen’s full solidarity with Qatar, emphasizing the nation’s support for Qatar’s right to maintain its security and the safety of its citizens and residents. He highlighted the importance of standing together against aggression.

Aiming for Collective Action

The President expressed confidence that the Doha summit would achieve its intended goals. He believes the meeting will address Israeli arrogance and threats to Arab national security. Furthermore, he hopes for collective decisions to deter aggression and support the Palestinian people’s right to establish a fully sovereign state.

Economic Reforms and Progress

In addition to international matters, President Alimi praised the efforts of the government, the Central Bank, and law enforcement authorities. He noted the significant successes in economic and financial reforms, which have led to a marked improvement in the national currency’s value and essential goods. He also emphasized the Central Bank’s enhanced independence in managing monetary policy.

Commitment to State Obligations

President Alimi reaffirmed the Presidential Leadership Council’s commitment to fulfilling the state’s obligations, particularly regarding timely salary payments for employees and improving services. He stressed the importance of strengthening the legal status of the state in Aden, in partnership with allies and friends, which he believes will lead to promising developments in the coming days.

Acknowledgment of Support from Allies

In this context, President Alimi commended the supportive positions of the coalition led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. He acknowledged their humanitarian and developmental interventions, which have helped stabilize state institutions and mitigate the humanitarian crisis exacerbated by Houthi militia attacks, supported by the Iranian regime, on oil facilities and maritime shipping.
