Supreme Leader: Militia ventures into the coastal region will lead to severe depletion of their resources.

President Alimi Monitors Military Developments in Taiz

A source from the office of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces reported that President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, who also serves as the head of the Presidential Leadership Council, is closely monitoring the ongoing military situation in Taiz. This comes amid escalating aggression from the Iran-backed Houthi militia.

Continuous Engagement with Military Leaders

On Friday, President Alimi held meetings and made calls to military and field leaders. He aimed to stay informed about the progress of military operations, the combat readiness of the armed forces, and the operational and logistical needs of all military formations in the area of operations.

Houthis Held Accountable for Humanitarian Crisis

President Alimi placed full responsibility on the Houthi militia for the humanitarian consequences of their escalation. He condemned their violations against civilians, which have led to the displacement of hundreds of families from conflict zones. He criticized their blatant disregard for the lives of Yemenis and their determination to use the people and their regions as fuel for their sectarian agenda.

Commitment to National Security

The President emphasized that the state and its armed forces will not allow the Iranian regime to achieve its goal of controlling the Bab al-Mandab Strait under any circumstances. He warned that any reckless adventure towards these areas would result in severe depletion for the terrorist militias.

Assurance to the Yemeni People

Addressing the nation, President Alimi reassured the Yemeni people that their armed forces are fighting with strong will and unified leadership. He expressed confidence in their complete understanding of the nature of the battle and the enemy’s objectives. He affirmed that these militias cannot withstand the determination of an entire nation defending its state, dignity, and future.

Call for Civilian Protection

The President reiterated his directives to the armed forces to take all necessary measures to protect civilians, secure residential areas, and facilitate the evacuation and relief of displaced families. He stressed that safeguarding citizens’ lives remains a core duty of the state, especially against militias that exploit civilians for their reckless ventures.

Unity Among Political and Social Forces

President Alimi called on all political and social forces, intellectuals, media outlets, and national elites to fulfill their responsibilities during this critical moment in the country’s history. He urged them to unite the internal front, strengthen trust in the state and its institutions, and resist falling for misleading campaigns and accusations aimed at undermining the morale of Yemenis.

Conclusion

As the situation in Taiz continues to evolve, President Alimi’s leadership and commitment to national security remain pivotal. His calls for unity and protection of civilians highlight the urgent need for a cohesive response to the ongoing challenges posed by the Houthi militia.
