Snap Inc. announced that the number of paid subscribers for its services, including Snapchat Plus, Memories Storage, and Lens+, has surpassed 30 million. This milestone comes as part of the company’s financial results for the third quarter of 2026.
The company reported an increase of approximately five million subscribers since February, when the service exceeded 25 million subscribers. This growth indicates a continued rise in revenue from paid subscriptions.
Snap launched Snapchat Plus in 2022, offering a monthly subscription that provides users with exclusive features and early access to new functionalities before they are widely released. The company has also expanded its subscription options by introducing additional services, including Lens+, which focuses on augmented reality experiences and exclusive lenses, along with the Snapchat+ Platinum package that offers an ad-free user experience.
Evan Spiegel, the CEO of Snap, stated that innovative features supported by artificial intelligence have boosted demand for paid services, exceeding expectations. He noted that significant opportunities remain for continued expansion in this sector.
In contrast, Snap’s shares fell by 12 percent after the financial results were announced, following the company’s failure to meet analysts’ expectations regarding advertising revenue and user growth.
The app recorded 495 million daily active users during the third quarter of this year, compared to 493 million users in the previous quarter. The company confirmed its ongoing focus on enhancing user experience, improving ad performance, and diversifying revenue sources.
