Sheikh Othman Majali Offers Condolences on the Passing of Former President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi

Sheikh Othman Majali, a prominent member of the Presidential Leadership Council, expressed his condolences today following the death of former President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi. Hadi passed away on Thursday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, after a lifetime dedicated to national service and struggle.

A Legacy of Leadership

In his condolence message directed to Hadi’s son, Jalal Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi, as well as his brothers, Nasser and Yasser, Majali conveyed profound sorrow over the loss of their father. He noted that Hadi’s passing occurs at a critical juncture when the Yemeni people are engaged in a significant battle against the Houthi militia. Majali emphasized that Hadi fought tirelessly for the state and its restoration, leaving behind a substantial legacy in both political and military domains during pivotal years in Yemen’s modern history.

Commitment to Yemen’s Unity

Majali highlighted Hadi’s unwavering efforts to preserve Yemen’s collective identity. He firmly rejected any form of coercion or rebellion against the state and its institutions. Instead, Hadi remained committed to the Yemeni constitution and the principles of peaceful dialogue, prioritizing national interests above all else. In this context, Majali called for unity among Yemenis and a collective effort to achieve victory for the nation.

A Profound Loss

Describing Hadi’s departure as a significant loss for Yemen, Majali acknowledged the challenges facing the country at this moment. He prayed for Hadi’s soul to find peace and for his family and the Yemeni people to find solace during this difficult time. “Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we shall return,” Majali concluded, encapsulating the sentiment of mourning shared by many.
