In a recent escalation of violence in northern Yemen, seven members of the Houthi militia lost their lives during fierce battles with government forces at the Al-Razamat front in Saada province. This information has been reported by September Net, a news outlet affiliated with the Yemeni armed forces.
Sources indicate that the Houthi militia deployed a significant number of fighters in an attempt to assault the advanced military positions of government forces in the Al-Razamat mountains. Their objective was to breach the lines and seize control of strategic locations vital for military operations. However, government forces managed to successfully repel the attack following intense confrontations, preventing the Houthi militia from achieving their goals.
In the aftermath of thwarting the Houthi offensive, government forces launched a wide-ranging counterattack, which resulted in the recapture of several sites previously held by the militia. This counteroffensive prompted a mass retreat among Houthi fighters, allowing government troops to clear the area of any militia presence.
The confrontations led to the deaths of seven Houthi militants, with injuries reported among several others. Additionally, the militia suffered significant losses in equipment and resources. On the government side, two soldiers were martyred and two others sustained injuries, underscoring the sacrifices made by government forces to maintain security and stability in the region.
This report highlights the ongoing conflict in Yemen and the relentless efforts of government forces to combat Houthi aggression in the area.
