The Security Administration of the temporary capital of Aden announced that two rockets struck the grounds of Aden International Airport on Friday evening. The Houthi militias, backed by the Iranian regime, launched the attack, marking the second incident of this nature within a week.
In a statement, the Aden Security Administration reported that initial information indicates no loss of life from the rocket strikes. Authorities continue to carry out necessary procedures, and they assured the public that they would provide additional details as investigations and technical procedures progress.
The administration emphasized that the repeated rocket strikes within the airport’s premises pose a serious threat to the safety of civilian infrastructure and air traffic. This concern is particularly pressing given the ongoing flights to and from several countries, along with the presence of travelers in both departure and arrival halls.
Aden International Airport serves as a vital air gateway for Yemenis, including patients and humanitarian cases who rely on it for travel and medical treatment abroad. The administration warned of the dangers these attacks pose to aviation safety and civilian lives.
