Operation Details
On Tuesday, security forces in Taiz announced a successful operation that led to the arrest of two individuals wanted for murder and attempted murder. This operation took place during a raid on Saturday morning at the Sunday Market in southern Taiz.
Circumstances of the Arrest
The Taiz police reported that the arrests occurred after authorities suspected a vehicle carrying the suspects. Inside the vehicle, officers discovered traces of blood and bullet casings, prompting immediate intervention and a swift investigation.
Identities of the Suspects
Authorities identified one of the arrested individuals as (A.M.A.S.), who faces charges for the murder of soldier Ahmed Al-Qahhtani, a member of the Criminal Investigation Department, in an incident dating back to 2019. The second suspect, (K.M.A.A.), is accused of attempting to murder both Amin Al-Sabie and Muhammad Al-Warafi in the Bab Mousa area in 2022.
Legal Proceedings
The police confirmed that both suspects are currently in custody as they complete legal procedures. Authorities will soon refer them to the appropriate judicial bodies for further action.
