Weather Forecast: Mild Conditions Along the Coasts and Cold Temperatures in the Mountains

The Meteorological and Early Warning Center of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology has issued its weather forecast for today, Friday. The report indicates that the coastal areas will experience mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with moderate temperatures. There is a possibility of light, scattered rain in the Socotra Archipelago and the southern and southwestern coasts. Additionally, winds will pick up along the southern and western coasts, as well as on Meyun Island and Socotra.

Mountainous Regions: Dry and Dusty Conditions

In the mountainous regions, the forecast predicts dry and dusty weather. Daytime temperatures will remain moderate, while nighttime temperatures will drop significantly, leading to very cold conditions. The report also notes a chance of fog formation in certain areas. Meanwhile, the desert and plateau regions will see clear, dry, and dusty weather, with nighttime temperatures turning cold to very cold. Active winds will stir up dust in these areas.

Safety Precautions Advised

The center urges elderly individuals and children in mountainous and desert areas to take necessary precautions against the dropping temperatures. Farmers, livestock breeders, and beekeepers should remain vigilant about the severe cold during the night and early morning. Additionally, those with respiratory conditions and vehicle drivers should be cautious of widespread dust.

Marine Conditions: Moderate to Rough Seas

In its maritime bulletin, the center forecasts that the sea will be light to moderately wavy along the coasts of Al-Mahra, Hadramaut, Shabwa, Abyan, Aden, the western coasts, and Socotra. The Bab al-Mandab will experience moderate waves, while the Arabian Sea and the Red Sea will see moderate to rough conditions.

Warning for Fishermen and Sea-Goers

The center warns fishermen and sea-goers along the southern and southwestern coasts, as well as in Bab al-Mandab, Meyun Island, and southern Socotra, to be cautious of rough seas and high waves.
