Presidential Decree Establishes High Tenders and Auctions Committee

Today, the Presidential Decree No. (44) for the year 2026 was issued, officially forming the High Tenders and Auctions Committee. This decree aims to enhance transparency and integrity in public financial management.

Appointed Members

The first article of the decree outlines the appointments of the following members:

  • Jamal Nasser Abdullah Al-Aqil – Chairperson
  • Abdulraqeeb Saif Mohammed Fatah – Member
  • Abdul Salam Abdullah Salem Baaboud – Member
  • Ibtihaj Abdul Qader Ahmed Al-Kamal – Member
  • Nasser Mathna Saleh Mathna – Member

Effective Date

According to the second article of the decree, the committee will commence its duties immediately upon publication in the official gazette.

Committee Responsibilities

The newly formed committee will operate in accordance with the laws governing tenders and auctions. Its primary focus will be to uphold principles of transparency and integrity in managing public funds.

This decree marks a significant step towards improving governance and accountability in public procurement processes.
