Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) achieved a significant victory over Spanish club Barcelona, winning four to two on Tuesday evening. This match took place during the third round of the group stage in the UEFA Champions League.
With this win, PSG increased its points total to nine, placing them at the top of the group standings, ahead of Liverpool on goal difference. This victory marks PSG’s third consecutive win in the tournament. Meanwhile, Barcelona’s points remain at six after suffering their first defeat.
Desiree Doi opened the scoring for PSG in the thirty-eighth minute. However, Barcelona’s Xavi Espart equalized in the fifty-fifth minute.
Lucas Hernandez restored PSG’s lead by scoring the second goal in the seventy-second minute. Yet, Lamine Yamal brought Barcelona back to level terms again in the seventy-ninth minute.
PSG quickly regained their advantage through Vitinha, who netted the third goal in the eighty-first minute. Finally, Spanish player Fabian Ruiz capped off the scoring for the home team with a fourth goal in the eighty-sixth minute, solidifying PSG’s victory and enhancing their lead in the standings.
