Authorities in Pakistan have arrested eight terrorists linked to banned organizations and thwarted a plan to carry out terrorist attacks in various areas of Punjab province, located in eastern Pakistan.
The Counter-Terrorism Department of Punjab Police reported that these arrests occurred during 91 security operations conducted based on intelligence information. The operations took place in cities including Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Chiniot, Rawalpindi, Bahkar, and Sargodha.
The detained individuals belong to prohibited terrorist groups, including Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan. Authorities seized explosives, hand grenades, detonators, weapons, and propaganda materials associated with these organizations.
