The national youth football team has secured a spot in the 2025 AFC U-17 Asian Cup, set to take place in Saudi Arabia. This achievement follows a hard-fought match against Vietnam, which ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday at the VIT Three Stadium in Vietnam. This game marked the final round of Group 9 qualifiers, which also includes Myanmar and Kyrgyzstan.
The match began with a strong performance from our team. In the 12th minute, player Karim Hamdi scored the opening goal, putting our team ahead. However, Vietnam responded quickly, equalizing in the 30th minute of the first half. Despite both teams’ efforts, the score remained tied until the final whistle.
With this draw, our national team topped Group 9 with a total of seven points, finishing two points ahead of Vietnam, who placed second. This successful qualification paves the way for our team to compete at the prestigious Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia.
This remarkable achievement highlights the team’s dedication and skill, promising an exciting journey ahead in the tournament.
