Today, the Minister of Electricity and Energy, Engineer Adnan Al-Kaf, along with the Minister of Oil and Minerals, Dr. Mohammed Bamqaa, visited the Petromasila (Main) Power Station. The purpose of this visit was to evaluate the station’s overall condition and to review the efforts made to restore operations following a technical failure that halted its function yesterday.
During their inspection, the ministers received comprehensive explanations from the technical staff regarding the nature of the malfunction. They were informed about the measures taken to resolve the issue, and it was confirmed that maintenance and repair work had been successfully completed. As a result, the power station has now resumed operations, ensuring stability within the electrical system.
Minister Al-Kaf commended the dedication of the technical teams and staff at the station. He highlighted their prompt response and effective technical solutions, which played a vital role in the station’s rehabilitation and readiness to operate. Al-Kaf further emphasized the importance of enhancing technical preparedness and strengthening preventive maintenance practices to sustain stable electrical service.
