Minister of Information: The myth of Houthi “national sovereignty” collapses under their absolute loyalty to Tehran.

Yemeni Minister Criticizes Houthi Allegiance to Iran

In a recent statement, Yemen’s Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, condemned the actions of Houthi leaders during the funeral of Hezbollah’s leader. He described their participation as a clear indication of their subservience to Iran and its affiliates. Al-Eryani emphasized that this behavior humiliates the Houthis, showcasing their loyalty to a foreign power even after the death of its leaders.

Houthi Leaders’ Subservience Exposed

Al-Eryani remarked that the display of Houthi leaders bowing before the daughter of Hassan Nasrallah reveals their complete submission. He stated, “Their acknowledgment of being at his beck and call is an insult to anyone who believes they are an independent force or champions of a national project.” He asserted that these statements expose the Houthis as a militia lacking autonomy, merely acting as tools for Tehran’s agenda, despite their claims of leading a political or military initiative.

Acknowledgment of Iranian Loyalty

The minister pointed out a troubling reality: Houthi leaders have openly admitted their admiration for Hassan Nasrallah, rather than loyalty to Yemen and its issues. “This group is not Yemeni; it is a small branch of the Iranian dependency network,” he stated. He further noted that the Houthis seem willing to remain in this state of subjugation even after their masters’ demise.

Yemen as a Tool for Foreign Wars

Al-Eryani highlighted that the statements from Houthi leaders starkly reveal their true agenda. He argued that Yemen and its people serve merely as fuel for foreign wars, with no value placed on their lives in the face of absolute loyalty to Iran and its regional proxies. He criticized a Houthi leader’s declaration of readiness to destroy Yemen for the sake of “Hassan Nasrallah’s blood,” asserting that their cause is not about Yemen or its people, but rather about serving an external agenda, even at the cost of Yemeni lives.

A Call for Clarity Among Yemenis

Al-Eryani urged the Yemeni people to recognize the truth behind the Houthi rhetoric. He stressed that the Houthis do not represent Yemen and show no concern for its welfare. Instead, they act as destructive agents willing to obliterate the country to sustain their masters’ project in Tehran.

Exposing the Myth of National Sovereignty

Commenting on statements made by Houthi leader Taha Al-Mutawakel, Al-Eryani asserted that these remarks confirm the militia’s longstanding ties to the Iranian regime and its affiliates. He dismissed the notion of “national sovereignty” promoted by the Houthis, labeling them as mere extensions of the Persian project. He noted that a Houthi leader’s admission of a 40-year connection to Hassan Nasrallah’s jihad signifies their status as an imported militia, disconnected from Yemen’s history and struggles.

Conclusion: Yemen Deserves Its Independence

Al-Eryani concluded by urging the Yemeni people to see the reality clearly, free from false slogans and misleading illusions. He affirmed that Yemen, with its rich history and resilient people, deserves to be the master of its own fate, not a pawn in the Iranian regime’s wars or a tool for projects that do not serve its interests.
