Minister of Civil Service Addresses Academic and Administrative Staff Adjustments in Yemeni Universities

Meeting in Temporary Capital Aden

On Monday, the Minister of Civil Service and Insurance, Salem Al-Awlaki, conducted a significant meeting with the heads of several public universities in Aden, Yemen’s temporary capital. This meeting centered on the current conditions of academic and administrative staff, along with the vital issue of job settlements within the educational sector.

Support for Higher Education

During discussions with Dr. Ahmed Fadhel, President of Lahij University; Dr. Mahmoud Al-Maisari, President of Abyan University; and Dr. Abdulqader Asaj, President of Dhamar University, Minister Al-Awlaki reiterated the ministry’s commitment to offering comprehensive support and facilitation. He emphasized that this assistance aligns with existing laws and regulations, aiming to enhance the trajectory of higher education while addressing the challenges currently faced by universities.

Ongoing Collaboration to Tackle Challenges

The university leaders expressed their gratitude for the Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance’s ongoing efforts to bolster the educational framework. The meeting concluded with an agreement to hold regular sessions designed to address the challenges within academic and administrative operations.
