The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center predicts hot and humid conditions for coastal areas and their surroundings today, Tuesday. The weather will remain mostly clear to partly cloudy, with a chance of fog developing in parts of Al-Mahra Governorate. Winds will be active along the eastern, southern, and southwestern coasts, as well as in Bab al-Mandab and on Meyun Island. Strong winds are expected over the Socotra Archipelago.
According to the daily weather report, which the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received, the mountainous regions will experience mostly clear to partly cloudy weather. Scattered thunderstorms may occur in parts of the western slopes from Saada in the north to Taiz in the south. Meanwhile, desert and plateau areas will see dry conditions with generally clear to partly cloudy skies. Temperatures in these regions may exceed 40 degrees Celsius, with moderate to active winds stirring up dust and sand.

The center warns citizens in desert and coastal areas about the extreme heat and the risks of prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Residents in coastal regions should take necessary precautions against humid conditions. Additionally, the center advises those in areas expecting thunderstorms to prepare for potential hazards associated with lightning.
In its daily marine report, the center forecasts calm to moderate waves along the coasts of Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Aden, and the western shores. Moderate waves are expected in Al-Mahra and Bab al-Mandab, while the Socotra Archipelago may experience moderate to rough seas. The waters of the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea will have moderate waves, while the Arabian Sea may see moderate to rough conditions.
The center also warns ship captains, fishermen, and maritime enthusiasts around the Socotra Archipelago and in the Arabian Sea about rough seas and high waves due to strong winds. Citizens and fishermen along the coasts of Al-Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Aden, Lahij, Bab al-Mandab, Meyun Island, and the southern western shores should remain vigilant regarding strong winds and turbulent sea conditions.
