The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast Center predicts a mix of clear and partly cloudy skies for coastal regions and nearby areas this Saturday. Temperatures will remain moderate, with a chance of light, scattered rain on Socotra Archipelago and the southern and southwestern coasts. Winds will be moderate, with increased activity along the southern, southwestern, and western coasts, as well as around Socotra.
In its daily weather report, which the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received, the center anticipates dry and mild conditions during the day in mountainous areas. However, temperatures will drop significantly at night, leading to very cold to extremely cold conditions in the early morning. The forecast also indicates a possibility of frost and fog forming in some areas during the night and early morning. Meanwhile, desert and plateau regions will experience clear and dry weather, with moderate daytime temperatures and cold to very cold nights.

The center urges citizens, especially the elderly and children in mountainous and desert areas, to take necessary precautions against the drop in temperatures during the night and early morning. Farmers, livestock breeders, and beekeepers should also be cautious of the cold and potential frost in mountainous areas during these times. They are encouraged to implement protective measures for themselves and their properties.
The Weather Forecast Center’s daily marine report for Saturday indicates that sea conditions along the coasts of Al-Mahra and Hadramout will be calm. In the coasts of Shabwa and the western shores, the waves will be light to moderate. Meanwhile, the waters off Abyan, Aden, Bab al-Mandab, and Socotra Archipelago will experience moderate wave conditions. The regional waters in the Gulf of Aden will also see light to moderate waves, while the Arabian Sea and the Red Sea will have moderate conditions.
The center warns fishermen and sea-goers along the southern and southwestern coasts, Bab al-Mandab, Meiyon Island, and around Socotra Archipelago, as well as in the regional waters of the western Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea, to be cautious of potential sea disturbances.
