The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center has issued a weather forecast for today, Wednesday. The coastal areas and their surroundings will experience hot to very hot and humid conditions. Generally, the skies will be clear to partly cloudy, with a chance of fog developing along parts of the eastern and southern coasts. Light to moderate winds will prevail, intensifying during the day on the eastern and southern coasts. Meanwhile, strong winds will affect the Socotra Archipelago, Bab al-Mandab, and the nearby island of Mayyun.
According to the daily weather report, which the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received, the mountainous regions will see clear to partly cloudy skies. There is a possibility of scattered thunderstorms in parts of the western slopes from Saada in the north to Taiz and Lahij in the south. The desert and plateau areas will remain dry, with generally clear to partly cloudy skies. Temperatures in these regions may exceed 40 degrees Celsius, accompanied by moderate to active winds that could stir up sand and dust.

The center has warned citizens in desert and coastal areas about the extreme heat and the dangers of prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Residents in coastal regions should take necessary precautions against humid conditions. Additionally, the center cautioned those in areas expecting thunderstorms to be vigilant and take precautions to avoid potential hazards.
In its daily marine report, the center forecasts that the sea conditions along the coasts of Shabwa, Abyan, Aden, and the western coasts will be mild to moderate. The waters off Al-Mahrah, Hadramout, and Bab al-Mandab will experience moderate waves, while the Socotra Archipelago will face rough seas. The sea conditions in the Red Sea will be moderate, whereas the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Aden may see moderate to rough waves.
The center has issued a warning to ship captains, fishermen, and sea-goers around the Socotra Archipelago and the waters of the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Aden about rough seas and high waves due to strong winds. Citizens and fishermen along the coasts of Al-Mahrah, Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Aden, Lahij, Bab al-Mandab, Mayyun Island, and the southern western coasts should remain cautious of strong winds and turbulent sea conditions.
