Meteorologists forecast hot weather in coastal and desert areas, with thunderstorms expected in mountainous regions.

Weather Forecast for Coastal and Mountainous Regions

The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center has issued its latest weather predictions for Monday. The report indicates that coastal areas and their surroundings will experience mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. Daytime temperatures will be hot, while nights will remain moderate, with light to moderate winds.

Mountainous Areas and Rainfall Predictions

In its daily weather bulletin, which was shared with the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the center forecasts that mountainous regions will see clear to partly cloudy conditions. There is a possibility of varying intensity thunderstorms, occasionally accompanied by lightning, particularly in parts of the western highlands. Meanwhile, desert and plateau areas will experience clear skies, with hot daytime temperatures and moderate to active winds stirring up dust and sand.

Temperature Expectations

According to the weather bulletin, the expected maximum and minimum temperatures for Monday in coastal areas are as follows:

  • Aden: 37°C / 27°C
  • Mukalla: 36°C / 26°C
  • Hodeidah: 37°C / 29°C
  • Socotra: 36°C / 26°C
  • Mokha: 36°C / 27°C
  • Al-Ghaydah: 36°C / 27°C
  • Zinjibar: 37°C / 26°C
  • Lahij: 37°C / 26°C

In desert and plateau regions, temperatures are expected to be:

  • Sayun: 40°C / 22°C
  • Marib: 38°C / 26°C
  • Aden: 38°C / 24°C
  • Bayhan: 37°C / 24°C

For mountainous areas, the temperatures will be:

  • Sana’a: 30°C / 14°C
  • Taiz: 33°C / 20°C
  • Dhamar: 27°C / 12°C
  • Al-Dhale: 30°C / 18°C
  • Ibb: 29°C / 16°C
  • Al-Bayda: 30°C / 17°C

Safety Warnings for Citizens

The center has issued a warning to residents in areas expecting thunderstorms. Citizens should avoid valleys and flood-prone areas during storms. Additionally, those in desert and coastal regions should be cautious of rising temperatures and direct sun exposure. The center urges everyone to take necessary precautions to prevent heat-related illnesses.

Marine Conditions

In its daily marine bulletin, the Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center predicts that sea conditions along the coasts of Al-Mahrah, Hadramaut, Shabwa, Abyan, Aden, Bab al-Mandab, and the western coasts, as well as the Socotra Archipelago, will be calm. The sea conditions in the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea will also remain mild, while the Arabian Sea will experience moderate waves.
