Meteorological Authority: Mild weather on the coasts, severe cold in the mountains, and warnings of sea disturbances.

Weather Forecast: Mild Conditions Along the Coasts and Cold Temperatures in the Highlands

The Meteorological and Early Warning Center of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology has issued a weather forecast for Wednesday, indicating that coastal areas and nearby regions will experience partly cloudy to clear skies. The temperature will remain mild, with a chance of light scattered rain over Socotra Archipelago and the southern and southwestern coasts, along with increased wind activity in these areas.

Mountainous Regions: Dry and Cold Nights Ahead

The center’s daily bulletin highlights that the mountainous regions will face dry and moderate conditions during the day, transitioning to very cold to extremely cold temperatures at night. There is a possibility of frost and fog forming during the late evening and early morning hours. Meanwhile, the desert and plateau areas will remain clear and dry, with moderate daytime temperatures and chilly nights.

Expected Temperature Ranges Across Major Cities

The bulletin provides expected temperature ranges for several cities, including:

  • Aden: 29°C / 23°C
  • Mukalla: 28°C / 19°C
  • Hodeidah: 29°C / 22°C
  • Sana’a: 25°C / 02°C
  • Taiz: 23°C / 13°C
  • Sayun: 27°C / 07°C

These temperatures reflect conditions across coastal, mountainous, and desert regions.

Safety Precautions for Vulnerable Groups

The center urges citizens, particularly the elderly and children, to take necessary precautions against the drop in temperatures. Additionally, it reiterates warnings for farmers, livestock breeders, and beekeepers regarding the potential for frost formation in elevated areas.

Marine Conditions: Moderate Waves Expected

In its marine bulletin, the center predicts that the sea will experience light to moderate waves along the coasts of Al-Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, and the western shores. The waters off Abyan, Aden, Bab al-Mandab, and Socotra Archipelago will see moderate wave conditions. Fishermen and sea-goers should remain cautious due to potential wave disturbances along the eastern, southern, and western coasts.
