Weather Forecast for Coastal and Mountainous Regions

The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center predicts partially cloudy weather for coastal areas and their surroundings. Daytime temperatures will feel relatively hot, while nighttime temperatures will be moderate. There is a possibility of scattered rain showers along parts of the southern coasts.

Wind Conditions

The center reports that winds will remain light to moderate along the eastern coasts. However, winds will strengthen on the southern and western coasts, as well as in the Bab al-Mandab area, reaching speeds between 18 to 28 knots.

Mountainous Areas

In the mountainous regions, the weather is expected to be clear to partially cloudy, with cooler temperatures at night. Scattered rain showers may also occur in some areas. Meanwhile, desert and plateau regions will experience clear and hot conditions during the day, transitioning to relatively cool temperatures at night. Winds will stir up dust and sand in these areas.

    • Sana’a: 27°C / 10°C

  2. Exercise caution in valleys and ravines in the western mountainous areas due to potential rainfall.
  3. Fishermen and sea-goers along the western coasts, Bab al-Mandab, and the Red Sea should be aware of rough sea conditions, high waves, and strong winds.

Marine Conditions

The center notes that sea conditions will vary. The Arabian Sea and Gulf of Aden will experience light waves, while the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab will face moderate to turbulent conditions.
