Meteorological authorities warn of hot weather, thunderstorms, and rough seas in several regions.

Weather Alert: Rising Temperatures and Thunderstorms Expected

The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center issued a warning today regarding rising temperatures and the potential for thunderstorms in various regions. Additionally, maritime disturbances are likely along several coastlines, particularly around the Socotra Archipelago.

Coastal Weather Conditions

According to the daily weather report, coastal areas can expect hot daytime temperatures and moderate conditions at night. Scattered rain showers may occur along the eastern coasts and in Socotra. Winds will strengthen along the eastern and southwestern coasts, with particularly strong gusts in the Socotra Archipelago.

Mountainous Regions Forecast

In the mountainous areas, the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy. There is a possibility of varying intensity rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, especially in the northwestern regions. This weather pattern will extend southward to Lahij and parts of the highlands and plateaus of Abyan and Shabwa. Meanwhile, desert and plateau areas will experience dry, dusty, and extremely hot conditions, with active winds stirring up dust.

Maritime Conditions

Increased wave heights and strong winds pose risks, particularly for fishermen, sea-goers, and ship captains navigating the territorial waters of the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea.
