The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center has predicted that mild weather will continue in coastal areas and their vicinity. On Thursday, the forecast indicates partly cloudy skies with a chance of thunderstorms in parts of the western coastal plains. Winds are expected to be moderate to active.
Mountainous Areas: Cool and Dry Conditions
According to the daily weather report, which the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received, the mountainous regions will experience dry and cool weather, especially during the night and early morning. Fog may form in some areas, and varying intensities of thunderstorms are likely in parts of the western and northwestern slopes. Additionally, the desert and plateau regions will remain dry, with generally clear to partly cloudy skies. Daytime temperatures will be mild, while nights will be relatively cold, with moderate to active winds.

The forecast for maximum and minimum temperatures on Thursday in coastal areas and nearby regions is as follows:

- Mukalla: 30°C / 23°C
- Hodeidah: 30°C / 26°C

- Mokha: 31°C / 25°C
- Al-Ghaydah: 35°C / 23°C
- Zinjibar: 31°C / 25°C
- Lahij: 31°C / 24°C
In desert and plateau areas, temperatures are expected to be:
- Sayun: 31°C / 16°C
- Marib: 29°C / 20°C
- Ataq: 28°C / 17°C
- Bayhan: 28°C / 18°C
For mountainous regions, temperatures will be:
- Sana’a: 24°C / 09°C
- Taiz: 29°C / 15°C

Safety Warnings for Thunderstorms and Fog
The center has reiterated its warning to citizens in areas expecting thunderstorms. Residents should take necessary precautions to avoid the dangers associated with these storms and refrain from staying in flood-prone areas. Additionally, those in mountainous regions and parts of the southern coast should exercise caution due to fog, which can significantly reduce visibility. The center also cautioned individuals with respiratory conditions about the widespread dust.
Marine Conditions: Mild to Moderate Waves
In its daily marine report, the Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center anticipates that sea conditions along the coasts of Al-Mahrah, Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Aden, and the Socotra Archipelago will remain calm. The Bab al-Mandab and western coasts will experience moderate waves. The center also noted that the sea conditions in the Arabian Sea will be mild, while the Gulf of Aden will see light to moderate waves, and the Red Sea will have moderate waves. Fishermen and sea-goers in Bab al-Mandab, Meyun Island, southern western coasts, and regional waters in the Red Sea should remain cautious due to strong winds.
