Today, Mohsen Beibik, the Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Projects and Investments, along with Dr. Abdulqawi Al-Mekhlafi, the Deputy Governor of Taiz, officially handed over the Al-Shuhada Stadium in Taiz to the local Youth and Sports Office following the completion of its turf laying and rehabilitation process.
During the visit, Deputy Minister Beibik and his accompanying delegation inspected the rehabilitation efforts and the preparation of the stadium’s ground in accordance with technical standards. They received a detailed explanation from Fouad Fadel, the Director of the Youth and Sports Office, on the importance of the stadium and its refurbishment for the sports sector in the province.
The Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports emphasized the significant role of Al-Shuhada Stadium for Taiz, affirming its readiness to host sports activities, competitions, and training sessions for sports clubs, given its status as the sole recreational outlet for athletes in the area. He appreciated the extensive cooperation and efforts of the local authority in the province, which have been instrumental in completing the project. This initiative is set to boost the youth and sports movement in Taiz significantly.
Additionally, the Deputy Governor of Taiz lauded the efforts of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in accomplishing the Al-Shuhada Stadium project, which stands as one of the most significant sports landmarks in the province.
