Marib Police Launches 2025 Training Year

Marib, Yemen – The Marib Police Department launched its new training year for 2025 today. The event was attended by the Chief of the General Staff and Commander of Joint Operations, Lt. Gen. Sagheer Bin Aziz.

Local Government Support

Ali Al-Fatimi, the First Deputy of Marib Governorate, reaffirmed the local authority’s commitment to supporting security forces. He emphasized the importance of providing the necessary resources to enable these forces to fulfill their security and national duties effectively. Al-Fatimi praised the significant efforts made by police and security personnel in combating crime, maintaining public order, and thwarting Houthi terrorism plans.

Commitment to Security Enhancement

Maj. Gen. Yahya Hamid, Director General of Marib Police, expressed confidence in the new training year’s success. He highlighted the unwavering determination to continue enhancing security and stability in the governorate. Hamid praised the extensive efforts of security units in training and developing the skills and capabilities of their members across various security and combat fields.

Impact of Leadership Support

Maj. Gen. Hamid acknowledged the generous support from Presidential Leadership Council member Sultan Al-Arada, and Minister of Interior Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Haidan. Their backing has positively impacted security training, development, and modernization efforts, leading to exceptional achievements in various security fields.

Focus on Comprehensive Training

The launch of the training year marks a crucial step in bolstering security and safeguarding public and private properties in Marib. The training covers administrative, field, physical, and specialized areas, contributing to improved security performance. This comprehensive approach aims to enhance personnel awareness and knowledge in security, policing, legal, and cultural fields, ultimately aiding in crime prevention and public safety.

Ready to Confront Threats

Maj. Gen. Hamid assured that Marib’s security forces maintain high combat readiness and vigilance. The coordination between military units, security agencies, and civil institutions is at an advanced level. This collaboration is vital in countering crimes and terrorist plots orchestrated by the Houthi militia.
