The Executive Office of Marib convened for its second monthly meeting of 2026, led by Deputy Governor Ali Al-Fatimi. The meeting focused on performance reports from various executive offices and addressed several emerging issues.
During the meeting, which included Deputy Governor for Defense and Security, Major General Nasser Raqeeb, attendees reviewed a report from the Education Office. This report highlighted the current state of the educational process and the challenges faced in the second half of the academic year. Notably, it addressed the situation of displaced students from Hadramout and Al-Mahra. The report confirmed that 250 students had successfully enrolled after completing their documentation, while efforts continued to assist an additional 450 students. To ensure these students do not lose their academic year, the office also organized mid-term examinations.
The meeting also featured a presentation from Abdulhakim Al-Qaisi, Director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office. He discussed the office’s operations, achievements, challenges, and future plans. Additionally, Saud Al-Yousufi, Director of the Civil Service Office, provided insights into the level of workforce discipline within local and central authority units. His report included attendance and absenteeism statistics, shedding light on the current state of public service.
This comprehensive review of performance and challenges underscores the commitment of Marib’s Executive Office to enhance educational opportunities and address the needs of displaced students.
