A significant meeting took place on Saturday evening in Marib, bringing together local authorities and the Naham Resistance Council. Participants emphasized their full readiness to support the national army in its fight against the Iranian-backed Houthi militia. They also stressed the importance of liberating remaining Yemeni territories and restoring state institutions.
The meeting featured prominent tribal leaders, dignitaries, and elders from Naham. They highlighted the necessity of strengthening the unity of the republican front and mobilizing all resources to support the national army. Participants pointed out that the Houthi militia has turned Yemen into a battleground for local and regional conflicts, resulting in an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. Additionally, they noted the threat to international navigation, which serves Iranian agendas.
In his address, Zaid Al-Shalif, head of the Naham Resistance Council, underscored the need for local and regional collaboration to expedite Yemen’s liberation. He asserted that the fight against the Houthis represents the only path to achieving security and stability in the country. Al-Shalif urged stakeholders to leverage regional changes to strengthen national cohesion and eliminate the Iranian-backed Houthi project.
Sheikh Zabin Allah Al-Matari, the director of Naham district, reaffirmed the unity of the people of Naham and Yemen in confronting the terrorist militia. He emphasized the readiness of Naham tribes to bolster military fronts with fighters to support the army in its liberation efforts.
Representatives from the military and security forces, including Colonel Abdul Jalil Al-Jaradi and Sheikh Naji Al-Hanashi, who spoke on behalf of the families of martyrs, expressed their willingness to sacrifice for the restoration of the state and the termination of the Iranian project in Yemen. They called for greater attention to the families of martyrs and the wounded who have given their lives for the country’s liberation.
In the concluding statement, the meeting reaffirmed its support for the legitimate government, expressing complete readiness to assist the national army in its liberation campaign. Participants urged tribal members under Houthi control not to fall for the militia’s lies. They praised the role of the Arab coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, in supporting Yemen and its legitimate government.
The meeting also featured poetry and national anthems that reflected the unity of the Yemeni people and their determination to reclaim their homeland from the grip of the Houthi militia and the Iranian project.
