Yemeni President Praises Kuwait's Humanitarian Efforts

Aden Hosts Kuwaiti Charity Delegation

In a significant meeting held at the Ma’asheeq Palace in Aden, Yemen’s temporary capital, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, welcomed Dr. Saud Ali Al-Hajri, the head of the Kuwaiti Elaf Charity Association, and his accompanying delegation. The visit aims to pinpoint the urgent humanitarian support and interventions needed in various sectors including health, education, agriculture, and development.

Insights from Field Visits

The Kuwaiti delegation briefed the President of the Presidential Leadership Council on their field visits across several governorates. They discussed the necessary facilitations for implementing the association’s projects, starting with establishing a permanent office in Aden.

Launching Medical Camps and Acknowledging Contributions

President Al-Alimi expressed his gratitude towards the Kuwaiti delegation, which also shared updates on Elaf Charity Association’s activities and programs in Yemen. Notably, the launch of the second Elaf medical camp in Aden was highlighted, featuring a team of specialists in cancer surgery. President Al-Alimi commended Elaf Charity Association as a leading sponsor of charitable and humanitarian work both within and outside Kuwait. He also acknowledged the efforts of Kuwaiti charitable organizations and financial institutions in rehabilitating services in Yemen and alleviating the humanitarian suffering caused by the Houthi militias, supported by the Iranian regime.

Kuwait’s Laudable Positions

The President lauded Kuwait for its honorable stance, generous humanitarian and developmental interventions, and steadfast support for the aspirations of the Yemeni people and their political leadership through various stages and circumstances. He particularly noted Kuwait’s active role within the Saudi-led coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen.

Distinguished Attendees

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ali Mansour bin Safae, the Yemeni Ambassador to Kuwait, highlighting the importance of the discussions and the strong bilateral relations between Yemen and Kuwait.

This meeting underscores the ongoing collaboration and support between Yemen and Kuwait in addressing the pressing humanitarian needs in Yemen, reinforcing Kuwait’s commitment to supporting Yemen through its challenging times.
