Amman, Jordan – The Jordanian Ministry of Health announced on Monday that laboratory results have confirmed a monkeypox infection in a non-Jordanian individual residing in the country. In a press release, the Ministry detailed that the infected individual is a 33-year-old male who presented with symptoms typical of the infection, including a rash. He is currently in isolation at Al-Bashir Hospitals, where he was diagnosed via PCR testing conducted by the Ministry of Health’s laboratories. His health condition is stable, as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
