Joint Security Operation Eliminates ISIS Spokesperson in Sayoun
On Tuesday, the Central Security Agency announced a successful joint security operation conducted by the Special Forces of the coalition and Yemen’s Counter-Terrorism Force (Force 22). This operation resulted in the elimination of the ISIS spokesperson, known as Abu Hudhayfa al-Ansari, while he was hiding in a residential area in Sayoun, Hadramout Governorate.
Details of the Operation
The operation took place early in the morning, based on intelligence-sharing frameworks between the Central Security Agency and the coalition forces led by Saudi Arabia. The agency reported that the target was accompanied by eight civilians, including one man, two women, and five children.
During the operation, authorities apprehended one individual present in the house after he resisted and sustained injuries. Medical care was promptly provided, and he was then transported to a secure location.
Evidence Collection and Findings
As the team conducted a thorough search of the site and gathered evidence, they discovered several items, including a suicide belt, which was safely neutralized to prevent any threat to civilians. Additionally, they seized two laptops, five mobile phones, and two tablets. These items were secured for further investigation and documentation by the relevant authorities.

The agency confirmed that women and children were safely evacuated from the residence without any harm. Following the successful completion of the mission, the Special Forces departed the operational area.
