Israeli Occupation Forces Incursion in Quneitra

Israeli occupation forces have advanced into several areas in the countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria. They established a military checkpoint in the village of Al-Ajraf in the central countryside of the province to inspect passersby. During this operation, they arrested two young men while they were crossing a military checkpoint in the town of Al-Horriya.

Military Movements and Gunfire

Local sources reported that the occupation forces deployed approximately 13 military vehicles, including tanks, to the village of Al-Ajraf. They also penetrated the Tel Kroum area and the outskirts of the village of Al-Horriya, where they fired heavy and intermittent gunfire towards agricultural lands near the northern Tel Ahmar.

Artillery Shelling and Tension

Additionally, sources indicated that artillery shelling with more than five shells targeted the vicinity of Tel Ahmar near Ain Al-Nouriya, causing heightened tension in the area.

Destruction of Olive Trees

Earlier, the occupation forces had advanced into the village of Al-Hanout, where they uprooted olive trees by running over them with tanks. They also conducted land leveling operations affecting approximately 10 dunams of land, coinciding with the flight of Israeli reconnaissance aircraft over the skies of the provinces of Daraa and Quneitra.

Violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement

The occupation forces continue to violate the 1974 disengagement agreement through repeated incursions in southern Syria and conducting raid operations. Syria has reiterated its demand for the international community to act to stop these violations and compel the occupation to withdraw completely from its territories.
