Muslim World League Condemns Israeli Minister's Statement on Al-Aqsa Mosque
In a vehement denouncement, the Muslim World League has condemned a statement made by a minister in the Israeli government, who called for the establishment of a Jewish synagogue within the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
Sharp Criticism from the Muslim World League
The General Secretariat released a statement in which the Secretary-General and Head of the Muslim Scholars’ Council, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, criticized these “barbaric statements”. This comes as a continuation of the Israeli government’s aggression towards Islamic holy sites.
Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa warned of the dangers posed by the Israeli government’s persistent violation of international laws and norms, as well as the infringement on the historical and legal status of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. He highlighted how these actions provoke the feelings of Muslims around the world.
Urgent Call for International Response
Furthermore, Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa emphasized the urgent need for the international community to swiftly respond to halt these human and legal violations. He called for an end to the systematic crimes committed by the Israeli government against innocent civilians.
This strong condemnation by the Muslim World League underscores the growing concern over the Israeli government’s actions in Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, a site of immense religious significance to Muslims globally. The league’s call for international intervention reflects the broader demand for the preservation of religious and historical sites amidst ongoing conflicts.
