International consensus views Houthis as rebels, Tehran’s tool for destructive agenda, says Information Minister.

Yemen's Diplomatic Strides: A Beacon of Hope Amidst Challenges

Strengthening International Presence

In a significant development, the President of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, accepted the credentials of several ambassadors from brotherly and friendly nations today in the temporary capital, Aden. According to the Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, this event marks the culmination of the considerable efforts by the President, his council members, and the government to boost Yemen’s international presence and normalize conditions in Aden.

A Testament to Legitimacy and International Support

Al-Eryani, in a press statement, highlighted that this pivotal moment reaffirms the state’s legal status and the legitimacy of the Yemeni government as the sole representative of the Yemeni Republic, advocating for the interests of all Yemenis. It also underscores the unwavering international support for the constitutional legitimacy in Yemen, aiding its quest to reclaim the state and rejecting the coup and its consequences.

Behind the Success: Unity and Support

The minister attributed these diplomatic achievements to the political and popular rallying behind the Presidential Leadership Council and the fraternal backing of the Saudi-led coalition supporting legitimacy. This coalition has not hesitated to provide economic, developmental, humanitarian, and other forms of support, standing with Yemen through its ordeal following the Houthi militia’s coup, backed by Iran.

International Consensus against Houthi Aggression

Al-Eryani emphasized the international community’s firm belief that the Houthi militia is a rebellious gang responsible for the death and displacement of millions of Yemenis, engaging in various crimes, violations, and organized terrorism. This group has not spared foreign embassies and international organizations, looting their headquarters and abducting their staff.

The Houthi’s Isolation and Its Implications

He pointed out that the Houthi militia, merely a puppet in the hands of Tehran, aims to destabilize regional security and threaten international interests. Regardless of how long their brutal coup lasts, they will remain internally and externally rejected, doomed to fail and suffer isolation due to their ties with terrorism and the Iranian regime, posing a threat to local, regional, and international peace and security.

This development underscores Yemen’s ongoing struggle and resilience amidst its complex political landscape, signaling a beacon of hope for restoring state sovereignty and international recognition of its legitimate government.
