The meeting, which also saw the participation of Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce Salem Al-Wali and the Ministry’s Service Sector Deputy Rashid Hazeb, underscored the critical need for enhanced coordination between the ministry and the prosecutor’s office. This collaboration aims at regulating violators, safeguarding consumers, and fostering a conducive business and investment environment.

Strengthening Efforts for Sustainable Development

The gathering reviewed the latest circulars and decisions impacting the trade and industry sector. It highlighted the importance of joining forces to address the challenges facing the commercial sector and achieving sustainable development. The participants emphasized the necessity of concerted efforts to elevate work standards and protect consumers.

Judge Sumaya Al-Qubati lauded the effective coordination between the ministry, her office in Aden, and the prosecutor’s office, stressing the importance of doubling efforts to enhance the level of work and consumer protection.

A Commitment to Consumer Protection and Business Environment Development

This meeting marks a pivotal step towards addressing the commercial sector’s challenges in Yemen. By focusing on tighter regulation of violations, consumer protection, and the development of a better business and investment climate, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, along with the prosecutor’s office, demonstrates a strong commitment to improving Yemen’s commercial sector. This initiative not only aims to tackle immediate challenges but also lays the groundwork for long-term sustainable development in the industry and commerce sectors.

As Yemen continues to navigate through its complex economic landscape, such collaborative efforts between governmental bodies are essential for fostering a robust commercial environment. This, in turn, is expected to contribute significantly to the nation’s economic recovery and growth, ensuring a prosperous future for its citizens in the commerce and industry sectors.
