In a significant move towards enhancing security and stability, a comprehensive security meeting took place in Lahj province today, chaired by the Governor, Major General Ahmed Turki. The session focused on critical issues surrounding land disputes and the handling of retribution cases in the districts of Tor Al-Baha, Al-Madaribah, and Ras Al-Arah.
The meeting resulted in the decision to establish a military company, a directive issued by the Governor, who also serves as the head of the Security Committee. This new force is tasked with safeguarding lands in the specified districts from illegal encroachments and random squatting, aiming to uphold law and order in these crucial areas.
The gathering, which included military and security leaders as well as the leadership of the security campaign, was graced by the presence of the Presidential Leadership Council’s Defense and Security Advisor, Major General Mahmoud Al-Subaihi, and the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Dr. Mohammed Al-Zaouri. Governor Turki emphasized the importance of consolidating efforts and aligning strategies to fortify the internal front in Tor Al-Baha and Al-Madaribah districts. He highlighted the necessity of supporting the security campaign to bolster security and stability across the regions.
The participants also acknowledged the significant sacrifices made by the sons of Subaiha in defending the nation against British colonial forces and the Houthi terrorist militias. These commendations reflect the deep appreciation for the brave individuals who have stood firm in the face of adversity to protect their homeland.
The meeting concluded with the assignment of the Land and Retribution Committees to devise a comprehensive action plan. This plan will encompass solutions, proposals, and strategies to overcome challenges and obstacles. It will also include efforts to track down individuals wanted for criminal cases and to pursue Houthi cells involved in destabilizing security and stability in Subaiha and across the nation.
This strategic meeting marks a pivotal step towards resolving long-standing issues in Lahj province, demonstrating a concerted effort by local authorities and security forces to ensure peace and security for its residents.
