Residents in Ibb Governorate recently discovered the bodies of two young men in separate incidents, following their mysterious disappearances. This alarming trend occurs amid increasing crime rates and security instability in the region, which is under Houthi control.
Local sources report that Rayan Abdulkarim Ahmed Yahya was found shot dead in his farm located in Al-Shakhs village, within the Al-Ashoub district of Al-Mudhaykhirah, southwest of Ibb. His body was discovered after he went missing on Friday night. The circumstances surrounding his death raise serious concerns among the community.
In another incident, authorities located what is believed to be the body of Yasser Fouad Haza Qasim in Jabal Al-Rais, within the Wraf district of Al-Jabalah. His remains showed signs of decomposition, indicating he had been missing for several days. Community members are demanding an autopsy and a thorough investigation into the circumstances of his death.
These tragic events highlight the ongoing security crisis in Ibb Governorate. The area has witnessed a surge in violent crimes, including murder and enforced disappearances, with little accountability or transparent investigations. Residents are increasingly concerned about their safety and the lack of effective law enforcement.
As the situation continues to deteriorate, local communities are calling for urgent action to restore security and ensure justice for the victims and their families.
