On the evening of September 14, Houthi militias launched a series of attacks on several villages west of Taiz and residential neighborhoods within the city. This escalation marks a troubling trend of targeting civilians and populated areas, reflecting the desperate state of the militia.
Local sources reported that the Houthi forces bombarded the villages of Al-Sharajah and Bani Bakari in the Jabal Habashi district, using various types of artillery shells. Additionally, they targeted the villages in the Al-Shuqab area of the Sabir Al-Mawadim district, located southeast of Taiz city, with mortar fire. Simultaneously, residential areas in the eastern and northern parts of Taiz also came under attack. These assaults resulted in damage to residential buildings and injuries among local residents.
This wave of bombardment coincides with escalating confrontations on the western fronts of Taiz province. Reports indicate that Houthi militias are suffering significant losses in several combat zones. The ongoing violence underscores the urgent need for a resolution to the conflict, as civilians continue to bear the brunt of the hostilities.
