Houthi militia establishes new military positions west of Taiz.

Houthi Militias Expand Military Operations in Taiz

The Houthi militia continues to carve out and expand new roads in the Maqbana district of western Taiz Governorate. These developments aim to establish military positions and facilitate supply lines to their scattered locations in the rugged mountainous areas, according to field sources reported by Yemen Youth Net.

Houthi Movements in Taiz

Sources indicate that the militia is constructing a road that stretches from the Al-Ayyar area, passing through several villages, and reaching the Al-Ramadah and Al-Sittin roads west of the city. Simultaneously, they are working on another road through the Al-Hamamah area in the Sharab Al-Rawnah district. These new routes enhance the militia’s movements and secure supply lines between their positions, while also reinforcing existing sites with equipment and establishing sniper locations.

Local Authorities Respond

These actions follow reports of new military positions being established and reinforcements being gathered near the front lines with army forces in Samia and Dhamna Khadir, southeast of Taiz. During a visit to the Taiz front, Governor Nabil Shamsan reviewed the current field situation and the combat readiness of the armed forces in response to the ongoing Houthi escalation.

Armed Forces Readiness

Governor Shamsan emphasized the importance of increasing combat readiness and vigilance, as well as enhancing coordination among military units to effectively counter any Houthi attempts to push new reinforcements toward the front lines. He noted that the militia seeks to execute infiltration operations to gain moral victories amid widespread public rejection of their sectarian agenda.

Additionally, he highlighted the militia’s complete subservience to Iranian agendas that threaten Yemen’s security and regional stability. He stressed that the militia continues to target residential neighborhoods with shelling and sniper fire, resulting in civilian casualties.
