Hadramout Governor Inaugurates Women’s Product Exhibition and Concludes Training Course on International Payments

Women’s Product Exhibition Opens in Sayoun

Sayoun, Yemen – Today, Jam’an Barba’a, the Deputy Governor of Hadhramaut for the Valley and Desert, inaugurated the eighth promotional exhibition for women’s products in Sayoun. Organized by the Women’s Development Department at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, this event showcased the talents of 120 women from productive families and artisans hailing from the districts of Sayoun, Tarim, and Qatn.

Supporting Women’s Economic Empowerment

During his visit to the exhibition, Barba’a emphasized the critical importance of economically empowering women. He underscored the need for initiatives that enhance local production and broaden marketing opportunities for women’s products. Furthermore, he announced that the local authority, in collaboration with women leaders, is working towards establishing a permanent venue dedicated to showcasing and marketing the diverse array of women’s products.

Ahmad Bahshwan, the Director General of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, remarked that organizing this exhibition has become an annual tradition that continues to grow in significance. Training Course on International Trade Payments

In a related development, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hadhramaut Valley and Desert recently concluded a specialized training course focused on international trade payments. This four-day course, conducted in partnership with the Yemen Bahrain Comprehensive Bank, targeted professionals within the commercial sector, aiming to enhance their skills in modern international payment systems.

Barba’a reiterated the importance of providing training to commercial personnel, emphasizing the need to stay abreast of advancements in international payment systems.
