In a stunning display of skill and teamwork, Shabab Hadramout has emerged victorious in the Super Basketball Championship, defeating Al Ahli Sanaa with a decisive score of 67-30 in the third quarter of the match. This win secured them six points from three victorious matches, crowning them the champions of the tournament.
The victory marked Shabab Hadramout’s coronation as the champions of the men’s clubs Super Basketball Championship, accumulating a total of six points from their three wins. Following closely, Al Wahda Sanaa took the runner-up position with four points, while Al Tilal secured the third spot with two points. Al Ahli Sanaa, unfortunately, ended the tournament without any points, placing them at the bottom of the standings.
A qualified team of referees managed the championship game, including Zaher Al-Aghbari as the main referee, assisted by Ali Baziad and Aydid Yislem. The table officials comprised Salem Joud as the scorer, Abdullah Al-Hajla as the timekeeper, Amer Al-Akbari handling the 24-second timing, and Lofti Baziad overseeing the match as the observer.
The match concluded with a ceremony attended by notable figures such as Amer Al-Amery, the Deputy Governor of Hadramout for Valley and Desert Affairs, Dr. Majdi Bin Talib, the Director of Youth and Sports Office in Wadi Hadramout, Captain Abdul Sattar Al-Hamdani, the President of the Yemeni Basketball Federation, and Captain Mohammed Kharaz, the Tournament Director and Member of the General Basketball Federation. The ceremony highlighted the achievements of individuals and teams throughout the tournament.
Shabab Hadramout’s coach, Captain Ibrahim Hajira, received the Best Coach award, while Ahmad Fahd Badhaman was celebrated as the Best Player of the tournament. Al Tilal was recognized as the Ideal Team of the championship. Additionally, Shabab Hadramout was honored with the championship trophy and gold medals, and Al Wahda Sanaa received the runner-up trophy and silver medals, marking a memorable end to the championship.
This championship not only showcased the high level of basketball talent in the region but also highlighted the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork among the participating teams. Fans and supporters eagerly anticipate the next season, hoping for more thrilling and competitive basketball action.
