In the spot market, gold rose by 0.7%, reaching $4,067.06 per ounce. Meanwhile, U.S. gold futures climbed by 0.9%, settling at $4,065.60 per ounce.
Performance of Other Precious Metals
- Silver: Increased by 0.7%, now priced at $58.02 per ounce.
- Platinum: Gained 0.7%, reaching $1,653.78 per ounce.
- Palladium: Rose by 1.5%, currently valued at $1,293 per ounce.
This surge in precious metals coincides with the decline in oil prices, which has eased inflationary pressures and reduced the likelihood of tightening monetary policy in the near future.
