Gold prices fell in spot trading on Monday, decreasing by 0.4% to reach $4,000.55 per ounce, according to data published by Al Riyadh newspaper. Additionally, U.S. gold futures for August delivery dropped by 0.3%, settling at $4,005.90.

In contrast, other precious metals experienced notable increases. Silver prices rose by 0.9% in spot trading, reaching $56.42 per ounce. Platinum also saw a slight uptick of 0.1%, with prices hitting $1,592.97. Furthermore, palladium increased by 0.3%, recording a price of $1,251.74.
