Forum in Marib debates media’s role in supporting women’s empowerment in decision-making.

In a significant dialogue forum held today in Marib Governorate, the crucial role of media in advocating for women’s empowerment in decision-making processes took center stage. Organized by the Marib Girls Foundation with funding from the National Democratic Institute (NDI), the forum delved into the representation of women in leadership positions within Marib Governorate. Participants discussed the challenges and obstacles hindering women’s access to decision-making roles and explored potential solutions to these issues. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance women’s roles in political, economic, and social spheres, ensuring their active participation across all aspects of life.

Arwa Al-Rammal, the Executive Director of the Marib Girls Foundation, shed light on the forum’s objectives. Al-Rammal highlighted the forums’ role in supporting women and civil society’s involvement in Yemen’s political processes and peace-building efforts.
